This August, Cologne once again turned into the world’s biggest playground for gamers as Gamescom 2025 took over the city. From August 20 to 24, the Koelnmesse Exhibition Centre was packed with a record-breaking number of visitors from over 120 countries. The vibe was electric: massive crowds filled the halls, cosplayers lit up the streets, and the whole city felt alive with gaming energy. It’s clear Gamescom isn’t just a European show anymore; it’s a truly global celebration of gaming.
For the third year in a row, Serbian gaming companies showed up in style at Gamescom 2025. The Serbian team set up a joint booth in the business zone, right in the middle of 1,500 exhibitors from over 70 countries. Force Media was thrilled to be part of the event, joining the Serbian booth alongside other local studios. We had the chance to showcase our work, meet publishers, investors, studios, and indie game enthusiasts, and soak up the incredible energy of the expo. It was an amazing opportunity to connect with the global gaming community and share a bit of what Force Media is all about.
Walking the floor meant discovering the future of gaming at every corner, whether through immersive VR setups, cutting-edge hardware, or small studios sharing their boldest creative visions. Sometimes, it was all about networking and having deep conversations over a few shots of rakija — because who says doing business can’t be fun?
This year’s edition of Gamescom wasn’t just bigger, it was a statement about where gaming stands today. It proved that video games are no longer niche, but a central part of global culture. For us, the event was an incredible opportunity to connect with international partners, highlight upcoming projects, and position Force Media as a strong player within the rapidly growing global gaming ecosystem. We held more than 20 meetings with talented and inspiring people from the industry, discussing partnerships, new opportunities, and the voices of young creators. Overall, we connected with representatives from more than 10 different countries, aiming to build lasting and fruitful collaborations.
And while Gamescom 2025 was packed with blockbuster announcements and big-name premieres, the indie gaming scene once again proved it’s the soul of the show. Tucked between the giant booths of industry heavyweights, indie developers carved out a space that felt personal, creative, and refreshingly different. Force Media had multiple meetings with indie developers, exchanging ideas, exploring shared goals, and discussing exciting new possibilities.
What stood out most was the passion behind every project. Unlike the polished spectacle of AAA reveals, indie creators brought raw energy—standing at their booths, chatting directly with players, sharing their creative journeys, and soaking in real-time reactions. It made the indie section one of the most human and authentic spaces in the entire expo.
As Gamescom 2025 showed, indie games aren’t just a side note anymore — they’re a vital part of the global gaming ecosystem. And Force Media is here to help share that passion with the rest of the world.
